Thank you. I love my empathic nature. Life didn’t leave me any choice. I have been empathic since birth. My parents have stories. Such as uncovering potatoes so they could see, when grandma said they have eyes. When I perform divination for a patron, with permission of course, I remove my shield and rummage around in their field to see if I can find a unique way to help them realign. Usually it is simple-play, laugh, shake your body, break the rules, spend more time with real people, spend more time in nature, take more breaks, slow down. Crone medicine.
It is true that the full weight of empathy can be quite the burden to bear… But when we realize that we don’t bear this burden alone, that is the moment we can see the hidden blessings all around us.
You’re speaking about empathy here with the tone of someone who has walked that inner temple and actually listened. Most folks pass through that hall half-distracted, but you stood there long enough to hear the hum beneath the silence. That’s rare. There’s a point in life's journey where the walker realizes the heart is not a soft thing. It is an instrument, tuned to the same key as the cosmos. You hinted at that beautifully. The idea that empathy isn't an emotional leak but a psychic aperture, a widening of perception. At the higher degrees, that’s the moment the veil folds in on itself, and you discover you weren’t looking for truth, you were remembering it.
I had a moment years ago, sitting on a bus headed nowhere special, when I suddenly felt the whole row of strangers breathe in sync. There was no mystic music, no incense, just this pulse rising through the floor like the universe tapping my shoe. And I remember thinking, alright, so this is the real classroom. That experience came back to me as I read your line about communion with animals, weather, and even mechanical things. Once you’ve been cracked open like that, you see consciousness in every hinge and whisper. You brought me right back to that. So here’s my question, since you opened this door with such grace. If empathy is the bridge that lets us share in the mind of the infinite, what do you think happens to a world that has forgotten how to feel but still hungers for power? Because I have this suspicion that the next evolution of humanity won’t be about intellect at all. It will be about the depth of perception, the courage to feel fully, without retreat. Anyway, thank you for this piece. It reads like someone held a lantern inside their own heart and took careful notes. And I appreciate that kind of work. It is quiet, it is brave, and it is the closest thing to real wisdom we get in this lifetime.

There’s so much poetry in the way you perceive Spirit - such raw wisdom and power.
And thank you for posting such a profoundly intricate question. I’m of two minds on the matter.
Some beings do indeed hunger for power. But I feel that this impulse is an echo of a deeper yearning. These hungry souls have vague memories of the infinite power of Source and their connection to It; but the weight and pressure of the world corrupts that memory, making them seek power through the individuated self. But the power they yearn for is deeper and more expansive than the individual self: what they seek is the power of the All. And that is a power that transcends the individual self and connects us to the consciousness we all share.
Empathic souls are intuitively aware of this. That’s why they seek to understand the self by deepening their connection to everyone and everything around them. So what starts out feeling like a vulnerability – namely empathy – turns out to be a superpower in disguise.
That landed exactly where it needed to. You named the ache beneath the hunger, the half-remembered pull toward the All that gets distorted into grasping when the world presses too hard. That distinction matters more than most realize. And you’re right, empathic souls feel that memory in their bones, which is why what looks like fragility turns out to be the deeper strength. Thank you for meeting the question with such clarity and care. Looking forward to reading more of your wisdom
There’s something really beautiful about the way you frame empathy—not as fragility or over-sensitivity, but as a channel, a connective tissue that reminds us we were never meant to move through the world as isolated beings.
The idea that intuition, psychic knowing, and deep feeling all share the same root makes so much sense. Most of the things we “pick up” aren’t coming from nowhere; they’re coming from that place beneath language where we’re already linked to everything around us.
Whether someone calls it consciousness, energy, nervous-system attunement, or something divine, the experience is the same: we feel more because we are more connected.
And honestly, that’s never been a weakness. It’s the only reason so many of us can sense truth long before it’s spoken.
Oh yes. Beautifully put! The insights you’ve shared are so rich and meaningful and genuine. Our symbiotic interconnectedness is our greatest strength. And the more spiritually awakened we become, the more the things that once seemed like vulnerabilities become the source of our collective power.

That’s so sweet! Your empathetic connection with potatoes truly brightened my day. 😆
We are in the midst of a growing wave. 🏄🏻♀️
Thank you. 🫶
I find that empathy can be both a gift and a curse.

Beautiful ❤️
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it. 🦋
